Sometimes, I feel how necessary it is to be aware of our first mistakes. I'm not entirely satisfied by the final version but compared to the very first one, it feels good to see the evolution. How about you ?
Here it is, my bedroom. Before, I tried to paint an overview of the city from my window but it was too difficult to begin with watercolors so I choose the simplest point of view with the simplest lights
Another exercise with a screenshot from the movie "The Naked Prey" taken from the blog CINEMOSAIC
It was already very late at night, couldn't go outside at this time for painting, it might be too dangerous :'D
Here is a sample of work that I'm doing for the blue prince..... and I notice how coloring/painting is damn complicated. Not that I used to think that it's easy, not at all ! It makes me more aware how I hate so much color LOL ! Because of my lack of patience, and how I need so much to use my brain : To think about the suitables colors which can contrast and separate each elements(and for the atmosphere), to find where the light is coming from, to know where to wisely put details, and to not make it looks messy or dirty (cause the touch is also important to give as lively as the picture needs to be, otherwise, if your touch is not good, like mine, it will be easily dirty....) and textures.....
Anyway. This work is in progress, I need to think how I can manage to push more on contrasts and.... how to make it more lively. I would sell my both kidney to reach the level of ..... of..... Bambi background artists :'D.
A test to see if the black ball pen is making stains or not after applying watercolors on it. Seems like nothing happened. Can be more or less useful in the future :'D
Sorry for my lack of activities here, because I'm actually developping one my personal project. I don't intend to post any of my researches here though !
I was also watching "Attack on Titan". A very good japanese animation, never seen as good as this one since Full metal alchemist : Brotherhood ! it's a relieved to finally being able to watch a well animated japanese animation with a good story telling ! I kind of missed it. Anyway, if you got any free times, I suggest you to watch it. Although it's a bit violent (not the most violent anime I've seen in my whole life though, but just as a warning :'D for some of you)
From now, I'm gonna start to develop my personal projects.......
Now, right now

The fanzine's theme was obviously about the proposal so I didn't get any other ideas than cats, because cats work very well with everything (Although I hesitated with Corgis).
A little tribute to the great Ronald Searle by the way.
Do you know rankin/bass ? I discovered their shorts recently, and this is goddamn cute that I almost died. I've been inspired by their designs for these. By the way, I'm doing another 11 seconds club, WOUHOUH!
This movie's poster reminds me a little bit of a coffee ad.........interesting. By the way, I've seen "the thing", have to do a fanart of this masterpiece. :)
I think that I found something very interesting with the watercolor pencil, and I may keep it for a long time. Great tool by the way, much more confortable than the pastel though. I'm still trying things :).
I've been inspired by kandinsky painting for the color choices. By the way, tomorrow, I'm gonna watch "Terminator 2" with my colleagues. It's been a long time I haven't seen this movie. First time, I was too young to understand the situations. :'D
FINALLY I DID IT ! God ! I passed my whole evening and night to do this damn lipsynch, with an almost broken shoulder, just because I got the damn idea to start a 11 seconds club 2 weeks before the deadline. And of course, didn't make the shots easy ... I'm not that fond of the subtle acting that I made for the king, it's a kind of BORING I think. Anyway, my shoulder is still hurting me but after going to the swimming pool, that might be better :'D
By the way, still have to tie down the last shot and to redraw beards and some details on the character such as his tongue and teeth. Anyway, just an advice... Never do the 11seconds club when you're not in day off, if you really want to then do it but make it simple (don't do more than 13 seconds) and make a stick man as a character if you can.
Ow ow okay I did more ;___; B-but she's also my favorite character so.... By the way, I don't get the logic of the magitek's design, Yoshitaka made it like he put every elements in mess but anyway x'D
GOOD GAME ! Still didn't get the happy ending(or the secret ending) so need to play this game again but once I finish FFVII :'3
I damn promised to myself to stop making fanarts and do something else more personal but hell ! I can't control it ! xD
Anyway, I'm still playing to that awesome game, since my trip to denmark, I stopped though but when days off will come, I'll probably play to it again !
By the way, a minute of silence for this character T^T
I am actually in Denmark and those drawings below have been done since a long time ago but I don't know why I didn't scan them when I was still in France. Now, it is pretty hard to do things well when photoshop is not there. And also on a Mac which is more difficult for a microsoft user such as me.
Anyway. Here it is.
By the way, for some people who didn't know that, I am at Viborg for working on Song of the sea project, the new Tom Moore's feature film ;)
And because I usually don't give that much informations about what I do and did, I also worked on Mark osborne's new feature film "the Little Prince" as a character designer. I've met so much talented people and enjoyed the job. The character design group was composed by a dude who likes to draw naked girl, a hypster who loves corgis and a supervisor who looks like Alf.
